Saul Steinberg, what would I do with out you? The works of this individual have yet again come to great use. His style especially relates to that of my own due to it being simplistic and cartoon-y. He mainly depicts people's foibles within society, all with the simple use of line. As well as that, the era in which he depicts relates heavily around the same era as
The Big Sleep. His drawings of American society with its architecture, busy streets and geography all connote with this book in my eyes. Here are some examples that show evidence of this:
